Hard yarn is made by resin-coating 3-mm-long glass fibers and coloring them with dye or pigment. By simply mixing this coloring/patterning material (decorative material) with molding materials, such as thermoplastic resins and general-purpose plastics with a molding temperature of over 300°C (ABS, PS, PMMA, PET, PC, etc.), users can get Japanese paper patterns or thread-like patterns. Using glass fiber for the base material gives high resistance to heat and also increases the durability of the product itself.
By using Hard Yarn, users get patterns with an unprecedentedly sharp finish and a uniform, high-quality design.
